Remember how cold January was? Well, SL doesn’t. She and her team got on a plane and headed to sunny Cuba. Big thanks to Kayla & Sabrina for sharing these pictures and write-up.
“SL enjoyed her third trip to Cuba this January, her home away from home.
The timing couldn’t have been better, as she missed the coldest week of the year back in Canada. She travelled with Sabrina and I, and together we had a wonderful week returning to this special place.
SL spent her mornings by the ocean and her afternoons at the pool, singing and dancing in the water. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Morón, a historic town on Cuba’s main island. During the excursion, she explored a tobacco and banana farm and had the chance to hold an American alligator, a baby flamingo, an iguana, and a “pienie pig.” She also enjoyed a meal at a local restaurant and tried the best piña colada she’s ever had.
Sabrina and I are so thankful to work for an agency that goes above and beyond to create amazing experiences for the members we support.”
Getting out into the world, seeing the sights, hearing the sounds of the surf, and encountering different flora and fauna? That’s what ITSI is all about. Growth happens when you travel, when you experience new things, and when you take the time to dip your toes in the water.
